Day 1: Arrival in Iceland

After landing at Keflavík International Airport, your private driver-guide greets you and escorts you toward your first immersion into Icelandic nature.
Blue Lagoon or Sky Lagoon Experience
Rather than heading directly into the city, you begin with a geothermal ritual.
At the Blue Lagoon, you soak in mineral-rich milky-blue waters surrounded by moss-covered lava fields. Your premium entry includes private changing facilities and spa access. Alternatively, the Sky Lagoon provides an oceanside thermal experience closer to Reykjavík.
Evening in Reykjavík
After check-in at your boutique hotel, enjoy a relaxed evening in the capital.
Your guide can recommend refined Nordic dining, perhaps fresh Arctic char, lamb raised on volcanic pastures, or creative Icelandic tasting menus.
Overnight in Reykjavík.
Day 2: The Golden Circle & Countryside Lodge

Tectonic Plates, Geysers & Waterfalls
On day 2 of our itinerary, your private driver will collect you from your accommodation as you set out to explore Iceland’s dramatic scenery.
Þingvellir National Park
Walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates at this UNESCO-listed site.
Beyond its geological wonder, this valley is where Iceland’s first parliament was founded in 930 AD. Your guide weaves Viking history and political intrigue into the landscape.
Geysir Geothermal Area & Gullfoss Waterfall
Witness Strokkur erupt every few minutes, sending boiling water skyward in a dramatic plume. Steam vents hiss from the earth as geothermal energy rushes beneath your feet.
Stand before the mighty two-tiered cascade as it plunges into a glacial canyon. On sunny days, mist rises in rainbows above roaring waters.
Optional additions:
- Snowmobile experience atop Langjökull Glacier
- Lunch at Friðheimar greenhouse farm
By afternoon, you continue south toward your countryside lodge near the South Coast, surrounded by open landscapes and big skies.
Overnight in South Iceland.
Day 3: Waterfalls, Glaciers & A Black Sand Beach

Iceland’s south coast unfolds today in a sequence of dramatic landscapes, where waterfalls plunge from volcanic cliffs and glaciers stretch toward the sea.
Seljalandsfoss & Skógafoss Waterfalls
Day 3 begins with two of Iceland’s most celebrated waterfalls.
At Seljalandsfoss, follow the path that curves behind the falling water, allowing a rare perspective from within the cascade itself. A short drive away, Skógafoss thunders down a broad cliff face; climb the staircase beside the falls for sweeping views across the south coast and the Atlantic.
Private Glacier Walk
With a certified glacier guide, step onto a glacial tongue flowing from the mighty Mýrdalsjökull ice cap.
Wearing crampons, you explore deep blue crevasses, rippling ice ridges, and sculpted formations, learning about the glacier’s shifting landscape as you move safely across its surface.
Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach
Along the coast near Vík, Reynisfjara reveals one of Iceland’s most striking shorelines.
Towering basalt columns rise beside the beach, while powerful Atlantic waves roll onto the black volcanic sand. Offshore, the jagged Reynisdrangar sea stacks stand like ancient guardians rising from the ocean.
By evening, the landscape softens into glacial plains as you arrive in the Jökulsárlón region, where drifting icebergs meet the open sea.
Overnight near Jökulsárlón.
Day 4: Glacier Lagoon & Diamond Beach

Today brings you into one of Iceland’s most surreal landscapes, where glaciers meet the sea, and ice drifts silently beneath wide Arctic skies.
Jökulsárlón Zodiac Experience
At the famed Glacier Lagoon, board a private zodiac boat and glide between towering icebergs that have calved from the vast Breiðamerkurjökull glacier.
The water is a shifting gallery of sculpted ice, luminous blues, frosted whites, and crystalline forms slowly rotating in the current. Seals often lounge on the floating ice, while your guide explains the lagoon’s formation and the powerful glacier that feeds it.
The afternoon is yours; hike gentle trails through Skaftafell, where glacier tongues descend between rugged mountains, or pause to absorb the stillness of this glacial world.
Later, you begin your scenic return westward, traveling at an unhurried pace toward the dramatic landscapes of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
Overnight on Snæfellsnes.
Day 5: Exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula

The Snæfellsnes Peninsula is often described as “Iceland in miniature,” where many of the country’s most iconic landscapes appear within a single, spectacular region.
Kirkjufell Mountain
Your day begins at Kirkjufell, perhaps Iceland’s most photographed mountain.
Snæfellsjökull National Park
Continue into Snæfellsjökull National Park, dominated by the glacier-capped volcano that inspired Journey to the Center of the Earth. Lava fields meet the sea, while cliffs and headlands reveal the peninsula’s volcanic origins.
Arnarstapi & Hellnar
Along the southern coast, explore the charming fishing villages of Arnarstapi and Hellnar.
A scenic coastal path connects the two, winding past dramatic basalt cliffs and natural stone arches where seabirds circle above the crashing Atlantic below.
By late afternoon, you return to Reykjavík, Iceland’s vibrant capital.
Overnight in Reykjavík.
Day 6: Viking Culture & Northern Lights

After days of dramatic landscapes, today offers a deeper look into Iceland’s culture and history, followed by an evening under Arctic skies.
Reykjavík Cultural Walk
This morning, take a guided cultural walk through Reykjavík’s historic and modern landmarks.
Visit the striking Hallgrímskirkja church, whose design echoes Iceland’s basalt columns, and admire the glass façade of Harpa Concert Hall along the harbor. In the Settlement Exhibition, discover the remains of Viking-age structures preserved beneath the modern city, revealing Reykjavík’s earliest beginnings.
Browse shops, relax in cafés, or enjoy a geothermal spa treatment.
Private Northern Lights Hunt (Seasonal)

After dinner, your guide carefully monitors aurora forecasts before driving beyond the city lights to the best possible viewing locations.
Wrapped in warm layers with hot chocolate in hand, you watch the northern sky as ribbons of green light begin to ripple and dance across the darkness, one of the Arctic’s most magical natural displays.
Aurora sightings are always weather-dependent, and if conditions are not favorable, alternative evening experiences can be arranged.
Overnight in Reykjavík.
Day 7: Departure
Your private driver transfers you to Keflavík Airport for departure, ensuring a seamless conclusion to your Icelandic journey.
