Luxury Transport (Typically Mercedes V-Class)

Day 1: Arrival in Rovaniemi

Tourist enjoying a reindeer sledge ride in snowy Rovaniemi, Finland, showcasing winter travel and unique Arctic experiences
Rovaniemi, Finland.

Your private driver-guide meets you on arrival and transfers you to Rovaniemi.

Optional Arctic Circle Orientation & Aurora “First Look”

Our team will consult with you beforehand to see if you would like to spend your first night at leisure after your flight, or if you would like us to arrange a private walking tour for you, where you can become accustomed to the sites of the region.

If the skies are clear, your guide can take you just outside town for a simple first aurora attempt, no big chase, just a quiet spot, a thermos of something warm, and the chance to see the sky begin to move.

Overnight: Rovaniemi

Day 2: Into Sámi Country

Young Caucasian couple enjoying a view of the Northern Lights from inside a glass igloo in the Scandinavian wilderness, perfect for romantic getaways and unique travel experiences.
Glass Igloo, Finland.

On day 2 of our itinerary, you’ll join your driver in the morning to travel north into Sami country.

Your guide treats this drive like a moving nature documentary, pausing at viewpoints for photos and small moments: a frozen river bend, reindeer tracks crossing the snow, maybe even a roadside herd.

Siida Sámi Museum with Cultural Expert Guiding

Arriving in Inari at Siida, your private guide (or a museum cultural specialist) brings the exhibits to life through their descriptions and tales, reindeer herding cycles, fishing traditions, duodji craftwork, language, and the reality of Indigenous life across borders today.

Lakeside Evening & Aurora-Ready Night

You’ll settle into your lodge or lakeside hotel, where darkness is deeper, and aurora odds are better.

If the forecast cooperates, your guide positions you for viewing with minimal effort, short walks, warm shelter nearby, and a calm, unhurried watch.

Overnight: Inari

Day 3: Lake Inari (Snowmobile Sled or Boat)

Woman riding a snowmobile across a snowy landscape in Europe during a winter motor sled race tour
Lapland, Finland

This is Lapland at its most expansive. Lake Inari feels like an inland sea, with snow, ice, islands, and a horizon that makes the mind go quiet.

Private Lake Inari Island Tour

Seasonally tailored: in winter, you’ll travel across the ice by guided snowmobile sled (you ride warmly as a passenger), gliding out to islands and remote shoreline points.

In sunnier seasons, this becomes a private boat experience where the lake’s scale and stillness take center stage. Your guide shares stories of the lake, seasonal routes, fishing traditions, and why this place holds spiritual weight in Sámi culture.

Evening Aurora Hunt from a Remote Dark-Sky Spot

Tonight is your first true aurora strategy night: your guide reads the forecast, then drives you to a place chosen for darkness and cloud gaps, not convenience. Expect blankets, hot drinks, and the kind of quiet where you can actually hear the snow under your boots.

Overnight: Inari

Day 4: Sámi Craft & Traditional Storytelling

Winter tourism scene in Scandinavia with tourists interacting with a herd of reindeer in a snowy landscape, featuring traditional Sami tents and a backdrop of forested hills.
Sámi, Finland

Today is about meeting Sámi expression through hands, voice, and meaning.

Private Duodji Handicraft Session with Sámi Artisan

You’ll be welcomed into a working space where tradition is still alive: antler and leatherwork, weaving, or small silver details, depending on availability.

With your guide, you’ll create a simple piece to take home, something that carries story, not just souvenir energy.

Joik & Storytelling in a Warm, Quiet Setting

In the afternoon or early evening, you’ll experience joik in an intimate format, less “performance,” more emotional atmosphere. Your guide frames what you’re hearing: who joik is for, what it represents, and why it matters.

Optional: Night Photography Lesson (Aurora-Focused)

If you enjoy photography (even on a phone), your guide can run a low-pressure session on how to stabilize, how to shoot aurora, and how to capture that “Lapland light” without fuss.

Overnight: Inari

Day 5: North to Saariselkä

Tourists riding snowmobiles through the snowy landscape of Lapland near Saariselka, Finland, under a clear blue sky.
Saariselkä, Finland

Today shifts from lakes to fells. The terrain becomes higher, more open, and beautifully stark, ideal for those seeking wild scenery without strenuous hiking.

Private Transfer to Saariselkä with Scenic Stops

This is a short, easy transfer day with time to pause whenever the landscape calls for it, wind-sculpted snowdrifts, reindeer moving across open ground, and the first true feel of “Arctic tundra energy.”

Your private guide leads a comfort-first nature walk: packed trails, soft inclines, plenty of stops. You’ll learn to read the snow—tracks, trees, and subtle signs of weather. The goal is not distance; it’s immersion.

Overnight: Saariselkä / Kiilopää

Day 6: Signature Arctic Adventure & Sauna Ritual

Husky sled team racing through a snowy forest in Finnish Lapland, a winter adventure tour in Scandinavia
Finnish Lapland, Finland

A “big day” that still respects comfort. You’ll choose one signature wilderness experience—curated for premium travelers.

Option A: Private Husky Safari (Comfort-Paced)

This is about the silence between the trees, the rhythm of the team, and the moment you stop deep in the forest with nothing but breath and snow.

Your guide keeps the pacing calm—no racing, no group chaos—just a beautiful private run and time with the dogs afterward.

Option B: Snowshoe & Wilderness Camp Experience

If you prefer slower motion, snowshoe into the taiga with a guide, then stop at a wilderness shelter for fire, warm drinks, and a quiet reset. This option is ideal for travelers who want nature without adrenaline.

Finnish Sauna Experience

Rather than a commercial spa day, this is a real Finnish sauna rhythm, warmth, calm, and that deeply restorative feeling that makes the Arctic feel friendly again.

Overnight: Saariselkä / Kiilopää

Day 7: Private Transfer to Ivalo Airport

Depending on your flight time, you may pause for one final viewpoint or a quick photo walk

Depart: Ivalo Airport
