Day 1 – Blue Planet Aquarium

After arriving in Copenhagen, you’ll head out to visit Den Blå Planet, also known as the Blue Planet Aquarium, located near the waterfront just outside the city center.

The aquarium is the largest in Northern Europe and contains a wide range of marine life from Denmark and around the world. Inside, you’ll move through different sections featuring tropical fish, sharks, rays, sea otters, and underwater tunnel exhibits where sea life moves overhead.
The building itself sits beside the water near Copenhagen Airport and is designed around curved, spiral-shaped architecture inspired by ocean currents.

After the aquarium visit, the rest of the day is free to settle into Copenhagen and explore nearby areas at your own pace.

Day 2 – Copenhagen Driving Tour & Canal Cruise

A private guide and driver will introduce you to Copenhagen during a sightseeing tour through the city center and surrounding districts.

Start with a private tour of Rosenborg Castle, beside the King’s Garden, one of Copenhagen’s most popular public parks. Inside, you’ll walk through former royal rooms filled with furniture, decorations, artwork, and objects connected to Denmark’s royal family. The castle is also home to the Danish crown jewels, which are displayed inside the treasury beneath the building.

During the driving tour, you’ll also pass many of Copenhagen’s best-known landmarks and neighborhoods, including Nyhavn, Amalienborg Palace, the Little Mermaid, Christianshavn, and parts of the old city center.
Your guide will explain how the city developed from a small harbor settlement into the Danish capital as it is today.
Copenhagen Canal Tour
Later in the day, you’ll head onto the water for a private canal tour through Copenhagen’s harbor and canal system. From the boat, you’ll pass colorful harbor buildings, modern waterfront districts, historic warehouses, and smaller canals running through different parts of the city.
Seeing Copenhagen from the water gives a very different perspective on the city’s layout and architecture.

Day 3 – Roskilde & Viking Ship Museum Tour

Leaving Copenhagen for the day, you’ll travel west to Roskilde, one of Denmark’s most important historic cities.

Your first stop on day 3 is the Viking Ship Museum, where you can see original Viking ships recovered from the water!
The museum also includes exhibitions explaining Viking shipbuilding, trade routes, and daily life during the Viking Age. Outside near the fjord, traditional wooden boats and reconstruction projects are often underway along the waterfront.
Roskilde Cathedral
The tour also includes Roskilde Cathedral, where many Danish kings and queens are buried. The cathedral has played an important role in Danish royal history for centuries and remains one of the country’s most important churches.

Around the city, you’ll also spend time near the waterfront and fjord areas that shaped Roskilde’s importance during the Viking period.

Day 4 – Copenhagen to Odense

This morning, you’ll leave Copenhagen and travel west across Denmark toward Odense on the island of Funen.
H.C. Andersen’s House
After arriving in Odense, you’ll visit H.C. Andersen’s House, which focuses on the writer’s life from his childhood in Odense through to his rise as one of Denmark’s best-known authors. Inside, the museum follows both his personal story and the fairy tales he became famous for, with exhibits spread across modern gallery spaces and areas connected to the older part of the city where he grew up.

The city center around the museum still has many older streets, small squares, and colorful houses that help give Odense a quieter and more local atmosphere compared with Copenhagen.
The remainder of the day is free to explore independently.

Day 5 – Odense River Cruise & Zoo

Today focuses on one of Denmark’s best-known family attractions together with time spent on the river running through Odense.

Part of the experience includes traveling by riverboat to Odense Zoo. The short cruise passes green areas, walking paths, and quieter residential parts of the city along the Odense River.

After arriving at Odense Zoo, you’ll have time to explore the different animal areas spread across the park. The zoo is home to animals from many parts of the world, including lions, giraffes, penguins, monkeys, and tigers, with both indoor tropical spaces and larger outdoor enclosures throughout the grounds. Walking paths, playground areas, cafés, and open green spaces make it easy to explore at a relaxed pace during the day.

Day 6 – Odense to Aarhus

Your journey continues north toward Aarhus, Denmark’s second-largest city, located on the Jutland peninsula.

After arriving in Aarhus, you’ll visit Den Gamle By, one of Denmark’s best-known open-air museums. The museum recreates life in Denmark across different time periods using original historic buildings moved from towns around the country.
Walking through the streets feels like stepping into older versions of Denmark, with traditional shops, bakeries, homes, and workshops recreated from different decades.
Aarhus City Center
The rest of the afternoon is free to explore Aarhus independently or relax around the waterfront and city center.

Day 7 – Moesgaard Museum & Den Permanente

A private transfer will take you south of Aarhus to visit one of Denmark’s most modern museums.

Moesgaard Museum focuses on archaeology, Viking history, and early Scandinavian cultures. The museum is known for its modern architecture and interactive exhibitions, including displays connected to Viking life, ancient Denmark, and the famous Grauballe Man bog body.
The museum building itself sits on a hillside overlooking forests and coastline south of Aarhus.
Den Permanente
Later in the day, you’ll head to Den Permanente, a beach and waterfront area north of central Aarhus. During warmer months, locals come here for swimming, walking, and relaxing beside the sea.
The area gives you a quieter side of Aarhus, away from the city center and museums.

Day 8 – LEGOLAND® Billund Resort & Return to Copenhagen

Today you’ll leave Aarhus and travel toward Billund, home of the original LEGOLAND® Resort and the birthplace of LEGO.

You’ll spend much of the day inside LEGOLAND®, where rides, themed areas, miniature cities, roller coasters, and interactive attractions are designed around LEGO creations and characters.
The park is designed primarily for families and younger visitors, although many adults also enjoy the detailed miniature displays and Danish connection to the LEGO brand.
Return to Copenhagen
Later in the day, you’ll continue east back toward Copenhagen with a private transfer.

Day 9 – Tivoli Gardens

Your final full day in Denmark includes time at Tivoli Gardens, one of Copenhagen’s most famous attractions.

Located in the center of Copenhagen, Tivoli combines amusement rides, gardens, restaurants, live entertainment, and historic architecture inside one large park. Opened in the 1800s, it remains one of the oldest amusement parks in the world.
During the day, you can explore the rides, gardens, food stalls, and themed areas at your own pace.

The remainder of the evening is free to enjoy Copenhagen before your departure the following day.

Day 10 – Departure from Copenhagen
After breakfast, your trip ends in Copenhagen.
Depending on your departure time, there may still be time for a final walk through the city center or along the waterfront before continuing to the airport for your onward journey.
