Day 1 – Arrival in Stockholm
After arriving in Stockholm, your private driver will meet you at the airport in a Mercedes V-Class and take you into the city.
After checking into your hotel, the remainder of the day is free to settle in and explore at your own pace. Depending on your arrival time, you may want to walk around nearby districts such as Norrmalm or Östermalm, visit a café, or spend the evening along the waterfront.

Day 2 – Stockholm Food Tour
For your first full day, you’ll spend time exploring Stockholm’s food scene with a private local guide on a Nordic food tour.
Nordic Food Experiences
Along the route, you’ll stop at a mix of local cafés, indoor food markets, restaurants, and small specialty shops to try different Swedish foods and ingredients. What’s included changes depending on the season and the places visited that day, but tastings can include seafood, cheeses, smoked meats, pastries, chocolate, or traditional Swedish dishes that are still commonly eaten across the country.
Along the way, your guide will explain how Swedish food traditions developed and how modern Nordic cuisine became internationally recognized in recent years.
Exploring Central Stockholm
The tour also gives you time to experience several parts of the city beyond the major tourist sites. As you move between stops, you’ll pass through shopping streets, market areas, residential districts, and waterfront promenades while learning more about everyday life in Stockholm.
The remainder of the afternoon is free for independent sightseeing.

Day 3 – Sigtuna & Uppsala Day Tour
Today you’ll leave Stockholm behind and travel north into the Swedish countryside with your private guide. The day combines two of Sweden’s most historic towns, starting with Sigtuna before continuing to Uppsala.
Sigtuna
Your first stop is Sigtuna, located just north of Stockholm along the shores of Lake Mälaren. The town is one of the oldest in Sweden and still has a small-town feel, with wooden houses, narrow streets, old church ruins, and cafés spread around the center near the waterfront.
While walking through town, your guide will explain how Sigtuna became one of Sweden’s earliest settlements and an important trading center more than 1,000 years ago. Rune stones can still be seen around the town, adding to the strong connection with Sweden’s Viking history.
Uppsala
Continuing to Uppsala, you’ll arrive in one of Sweden’s oldest cities and a place that still feels heavily shaped by its university and religious history. The city’s main landmark is Uppsala Cathedral, a huge church visible from across the city.
Your guide will also introduce you to the university district, where students, libraries, and historic buildings still shape much of the atmosphere around the city center.
Gamla Uppsala
If time allows, you may also visit Gamla Uppsala just outside the city. The area is known for its large grassy burial mounds and its connection to Sweden’s Viking past.
Return to Stockholm in the evening.

Day 4 – Stockholm Old Town Tour & Train to Örebro
This morning, you’ll explore some of Stockholm’s best-known historic sights before continuing west by train to Örebro later in the day.
Gamla Stan
Your walking tour begins in Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s Old Town, where narrow cobbled streets pass historic buildings, small squares, cafés, and courtyards dating back hundreds of years.
As you walk through the area with your guide, you’ll pass landmarks including Stortorget, the Royal Palace, and Stockholm Cathedral while learning more about the city’s early history.
The Vasa Museum
The tour also includes time at the Vasa Museum, where you’ll see the Vasa warship that sank in Stockholm Harbor in the 1600s, not long after setting sail. The ship was later brought back up from the water and is now displayed inside the museum, giving visitors the chance to see a huge original warship from Sweden’s naval past up close.
Train to Örebro
Later in the day, you’ll board a first-class train from Stockholm to Örebro. The journey takes around 2.5 hours and passes through forests, farmland, lakes, and smaller towns across central Sweden.
After arriving in Örebro, the evening is free to settle in and explore the city center.

Day 5 – Leisure Day in Örebro
Today is free to explore Örebro at your own pace. Located beside the Svartån River, the city is known for its castle, parks, and relaxed atmosphere.
You may want to visit Örebro Castle, walk through Wadköping open-air museum, or spend time around the cafés and shops in the city center. Compared with Stockholm, Örebro feels smaller and quieter, making it a good place to slow down for a day.

Day 6 – Örebro to Linköping
Today you’ll continue south toward Linköping with a private transfer through central Sweden.
Journey Through Central Sweden
The drive passes through forests, farmland, lakes, and smaller communities that many visitors never see when traveling only between Sweden’s larger cities. There’s flexibility to stop along the way for coffee, lunch, or short breaks, depending on timing.
Linköping City Tour
After arriving in Linköping, you’ll spend some time exploring the city with a local guide. The city is known for its large cathedral, university, and mix of historic streets and more modern parts connected to the technology and aviation industries in the region.
The tour may include the cathedral district, older sections of the city center, and parts of Gamla Linköping, an open-air historic area where traditional Swedish wooden houses have been preserved and relocated.

Day 7 – Linköping to Jönköping via Gränna
Today’s journey takes you toward Lake Vättern, Sweden’s second-largest lake, with a stop in the small town of Gränna along the way.
Gränna
Gränna is best known for its traditional striped peppermint candy known as polkagrisar, which are still made by hand in shops around the town. The streets leading toward the lake are lined with wooden houses, cafés, bakeries, and small local stores.
The town also has views across Lake Vättern toward Visingsö Island, especially from the waterfront areas near the harbor.
Arrival in Jönköping
Continuing south, you’ll arrive in Jönköping, a lakeside city located at the southern end of Lake Vättern. The rest of the day is free to explore the waterfront, city center, or nearby restaurants and cafés.

Day 8 – Eksjö Day Trip
Today you’ll visit Eksjö, one of Sweden’s best-preserved wooden towns, with private transfers from Jönköping included.
Eksjö Historic Center
Eksjö is known for its traditional wooden buildings, narrow streets, and preserved town center dating back several centuries. Walking through the center feels very different from Sweden’s larger cities, with many of the original timber buildings still in use today as homes, shops, and cafés.
Your time in Eksjö is flexible, allowing you to explore the town at a relaxed pace.
Småland Countryside
The drive between Jönköping and Eksjö also passes through the forests and rural landscapes of Småland, a region strongly connected with traditional Swedish countryside life.
Return to Jönköping in the evening.

Day 9 – Jönköping to Gothenburg
Today you’ll continue west toward Gothenburg.
The drive passes through smaller towns, farmland, and forests before eventually reaching Sweden’s west coast. After arriving in Gothenburg and checking into your hotel, the rest of the day is free to explore the city independently.
You may want to spend time around the waterfront districts, visit local restaurants, or walk through the Haga neighborhood during the evening.

Day 10 – Gothenburg Walking Tour
Today you’ll explore Gothenburg with a private local guide during a walking tour through the city’s canals, waterfront districts, and historic neighborhoods.
Haga District
One of the main areas you’ll visit is Haga, the oldest part of Gothenburg. The neighborhood is filled with cobbled streets, old wooden buildings, cafés, and independent shops.
Gothenburg Waterfront
During the tour, you’ll spend time around Gothenburg’s canals, harbor areas, and waterfront districts that helped the city grow into Sweden’s main west coast port. Many parts of the city are still closely connected to the water, with old shipping areas now mixed with restaurants, public spaces, and newer neighborhoods along the river.
The rest of the day is free to continue exploring Gothenburg on your own.

Day 11 – Gothenburg to Malmö
Today you’ll board a first-class train south to Malmö.
The railway journey follows parts of Sweden’s west coast before continuing into the southern region of Skåne. Compared with central Sweden, the landscape becomes flatter and more agricultural as you approach Malmö.
After arrival, the rest of the day is free to explore the city.

Day 12 – Leisure Day in Malmö
Today is free to experience Malmö at your own pace.
You may want to explore the Old Town squares, walk through the Västra Hamnen waterfront district, or visit cafés and restaurants around Lilla Torg. Malmö has a noticeably different atmosphere from the cities farther north, shaped partly by its close connection to Denmark and continental Europe.

Day 13 – Malmö to Stockholm & Archipelago Dinner
This morning, you’ll board the first-class train back to Stockholm.
After arriving and checking back into your hotel, the evening includes a private RIB boat experience in the Stockholm Archipelago combined with dinner by the water.

Traveling by rigid inflatable boat allows you to cover larger parts of the archipelago quickly while moving between islands, smaller waterways, and open sections of the Baltic Sea.
The route depends on weather and sea conditions, but the experience gives you a different perspective on the islands surrounding Stockholm.
Dinner in the Archipelago
Part of the evening includes dinner by the water in the archipelago before returning to Stockholm later at night.

Day 14 – Departure from Stockholm
After breakfast, your private driver will transfer you to the airport for your onward flight.
Your journey through Sweden comes to an end after traveling across the country by rail and road, visiting everything from major cities and university towns to smaller countryside communities and coastal destinations.
